To make one of your own you will need..
Embroidery Thread (two colors for this one)
6/0 Beads
To get started cut 1 yd. of color thread you do not want to show. Now cut 2 yds. of the second color (of your choice) that you want to show. When you have them cut, fold each one in half with the shorter color in the middle of the larger color & make a loop knot at the top (you can add hooks & such for a different clasp). To secure it I use tape.
Like so!!
After all that, now we can get started on knotting! Follow the visual bellow!
Starting with the right side make a number 4 backwards over the 2 short threads. Now take the left side thread over the number 4's tale, under the 2 short threads & over the right thread. Pull the knot up & tighten it fairly (not too tight, but not to loose). Once you think you have knotted down to about 2 inches, STOP! (make sure you are measuring as you go) When you have 2 inches of knots going, then go ahead and add the desired choice of bead. I added 27 beads (14 on one side & 13 on the other). Once you have all beads continue on the knots without the beads until you have about another 2 inches! You should end up with a 6 1/2 to 7' inch bracelet.
Getting the hang of it?
Wa-la all done!
Just a few other I have done to show you the different clasp.
